Our foundation
From a car trunk in Halifax to global mill partners.
Joe Barazin started in steel in 1984 and founded Intermetalink in 1986. From selling boxes of nails out of the back of his car trunk in Halifax to negotiating with post-Soviet era steel mill bosses, Joe has forged his way through the steel industry across Canada for forty years.
In 2011, Matthew Barazin joined Joe at Intermetalink. Together they've built the business into a steel distribution house focused on customer service, transparent data, and giving decision-makers the information they need to buy steel with confidence.
We've supplied wholesalers and distributors of import steel across Canada and the United States ever since.
